35angladesh Football Federation (BFF) on Tuesday sacked Italian Head Coach of Bangladesh National Football Team Fabio Lopez, reports news agency UNB.
The National Team Management Committee of BFF, in a meeting with BFF Vice-President cum committee chairman Kazi Nabil Ahmed MP in the chair, decided to sack the head coach for the dismal performance of the national football team in recent matches.
The committee also decided to appoint Maruful Haque as the interim coach of the national football team till SAF Football billed for December 23 to January 3 in India.
Bangladesh national team suffered five consecutive defeats under his took over the charge in September 10 this year.
Bangladesh conceded 0-2 defeat to Kyrgyzstan, 0-5 defeat against Tajikstan, 0-4 defeat against Australia in the World Cup Qualifiers and suffered 2-3 defeat against a Myanmar team and 1-2 defeat against Lijng FC of China in the ongoing ASEAN Football in China.
