Kamrun Nahar Runu’s poetry reflects the real picture of the society

31Poet Kamrun Nahar Runu’s poetry reflects the real picture of modern day society.  She has vividly portrayed the picture of today through her poetry, at the same time, she depicted the past efficiently and provided the guidance for the future. Speakers attending the publication event of Botamkhola Bihsnna Bikel’ expressed this view.
The publication event was held in a restaurant at Brick Lane on 24 August. Millennium magazine organised this publication where a numerous number of Bangladeshi journalists and cultural activists were present. Press Minister of Bangladesh High Commission in London Nadeem Qadir was present there as the Chief Guest and former Principal of Mowlvibazar Government College Shamsul Huda attended as special guest.
Editor of Millennium Mahbub Hossain presided over the meeting and theatre activist Tareq Chowdhury conducted it.  Poet Anwarul Islam Obhi read out from an essay in the beginning.
Guests who took part in the discussion included Columnist and former student leader Sujat Mansoor, Founding Secretary of London Bangla Press Club Najrul Islam Bashon, Journalist Matiar Chowdhury, Editor of Nari Magazine Poet Shahnaj Sultana, Shahadot Rashid and other. Newsreader of ATN Bangla poet Monira Parvin, poet Moynur Rahman Babul, poet Mujibul Haque Moni, Tareq Chowdhury, Afra and poet Kamrun Nahar Runu recited from the poetry book.
